RECARO Optiafix is test winner

Stiftung Warentest and ADAC tested 26 child seats from all groups ("test" issue 6/2016, release date 27.05.2016). With the rating “Good” (2.1) the Recaro Optiafix emerged as the winner of the Group I test.

The Recaro Optiafix features an integrated isofix base and is the perfect next-stage child seat after the infant carrier. The seat not only stands out because of its modern design but also for its safety. The testers praise the good results in the event of a side impact and the good fit of the 5-point harness. The Recaro Hero technology prevents twisting or slipping of the belts, simplifies buckling up and keeps the little passengers safe in the seat. In addition, the Optiafix sits particularly stable in the car thanks to the integrated isofix base. Installation and removal from the car as well as its operation is especially easy for parents and misuse is almost impossible.

In addition to high safety standards the Recaro Optiafix scores well with child-friendly ergonomics. The testers point out the adequate space for the child, an optimal leg and seating position as well as an almost unlimited view for the little ones.

The high quality of the seat rounds up the test result (score of 2.1). The Recaro Optiafix is suitable for children from 9 to 18 kg and is available in stores and online at a price of £210.00.

"Recaro stands for safety, quality and ingenious design. The test result is proof that Recaro, once more, has mastered the perfect combination of functionality, ergonomics and aesthetics. We are sure that our customers will be delighted by the Ingenious Design of the Optiafix", says Andreas Fellenz, Head of Marketing, Sales & Product Management at Recaro Child Safety.

The Group I seat is also available without the integrated isofix base. The Optia model (RRP £160.00) is the perfect choice for parents who already have had the Recaro fix base and Privia.
